InterLibrary Loan

Items unavailable in our Library may be procured from other libraries across the United States. The ILL process can take up to one week for articles and up to two weeks for books or audio-visual items.

InterLibrary Loan Request Form

Item Delivery

Article and chapter requests are usually filled electronically and will be delivered via email. Books and AV material will be delivered physically to the Library.

When items arrive, notifications will be sent via email, and items will be held at the circulation desk for two weeks.

Loan Periods and Renewals

ILL loan periods are set by the lending library so due dates will vary. ILL items may be renewed with approval from the lending library. The borrower is responsible for lost or damaged materials.

The ILL staff makes every effort to fulfill material requests; however every requested item may not be available. Hard-to-get items include: rare books and archival material, some audio-visual materials, entire issues or volumes of periodicals, genealogical manuscripts, reference books, and some dissertations/theses. *We are not able to borrow required textbooks for courses.

Questions and renewal requests can be directed to the ILL Coordinator at ill@aquinas.edu or 616-632-2128.
